About The Position

AcutePet Urgent Care is opening a new location on Cincinnati's West Side in White Oak, OH in Summer 2026. This is an opportunity to be part of a founding team, helping to establish the hospital's operations, workflows, and culture from the ground up. The role focuses on providing high-quality urgent care medicine, handling cases like lacerations, minor trauma, GI obstruction workups, toxin ingestions, and acute vomiting/diarrhea, without the intensity of overnight emergency shifts or major holidays. The position is ideal for emergency veterinarians seeking a better work-life balance, experienced GPs looking to enhance their diagnostic skills, or newer doctors seeking mentorship and structured growth in urgent care.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent)
Interest in urgent care or emergency-style diagnostics
Strong clinical reasoning and thoughtful patient care
Clear, compassionate client communication

Responsibilities

Help establish the clinical tone and culture of the hospital.
Define hospital operations, workflows, and team culture.
Practice high-level urgent care medicine.
See cases including lacerations, minor trauma, GI obstruction workups, toxin ingestions, and acute vomiting/diarrhea.
Deliver emergency-level medicine in an urgent care setting.
Collaborate with team members.
Participate in structured 1:1 growth conversations.
