About The Position
Vetster is revolutionizing pet healthcare by connecting pet owners with licensed veterinarians through our innovative digital platform. We provide convenient access to professional veterinary advice, diagnoses, and prescriptions, with a mission to make pet care accessible, affordable, and stress-free for every pet parent. Vetster is seeking Veterinarians licensed and in good standing in Alberta or British Columbia to join our platform and provide virtual care on the side. This is an exciting opportunity to join our platform and a growing network of veterinarians at the forefront of telemedicine. As a flexible, independent contractor, you’ll have the freedom to create your own schedule and work as much or as little as you’d like. Experience with exotic species (small mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates) is a strong asset, but all levels are welcome.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Canada with good standing
- Holding a license in one or multiple of the following provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island
Nice To Haves
- Experience with exotic species (small mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates)
- Licensed in multiple of the above provinces listed
- Experience treating some or all of the following exotic species: guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rabbits, lizards, turtles, snakes, tarantulas, scorpions, crabs, and birds
- Passionate about Telemedicine with a genuine belief in the power of digital health to expand access to care
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual, video appointments with pet owners through the Vetster platform
- Provide thorough clinical assessments, triage guidance, and treatment recommendations within your scope of practice and applicable regulations
- Complete, accurate, and timely medical records for each appointment within the platform
- Deliver an exceptional client experience — communicating clearly, compassionately, and professionally
- Adhere to Vetster's standards of care and platform policies
- Maintain compliance with your provincial licensing requirements
