AcutePet Urgent Care is redefining how urgent veterinary care is delivered. Since opening in May 2025, our Summerville team has quickly become a trusted resource for pet families and local veterinarians throughout the Lowcountry. This growth is driven by a strong clinical culture, meaningful community relationships, and a real need for thoughtful, accessible urgent care. As demand continues to build, we’re adding to our team and looking for additional veterinarians who want to practice high-quality medicine in a model designed for both clinical excellence and personal sustainability. We deliver emergency-level care in an urgent care setting. This means meaningful cases, strong diagnostics, and real impact — without overnights or the intensity of traditional 24/7 ER schedules. This role may be a strong fit for emergency veterinarians seeking a shift from overnight or high-acuity ER, experienced general practitioners ready to expand their scope, early-career DVMs interested in urgent care with structured mentorship, and doctors who value autonomy alongside collaborative support. Summerville is one of the fastest-growing communities in the Charleston region, known for its welcoming neighborhoods, strong sense of community, and continued residential growth. The area offers family-friendly neighborhoods and strong community connection, easy access to Charleston, beaches, dining, and culture, parks, trails, and outdoor recreation throughout the Lowcountry, a growing population of engaged pet owners, and a strong network of local veterinary professionals and referral relationships. The continued growth of the region has increased demand for thoughtful, accessible urgent care — making this hospital an essential resource for both pet families and surrounding primary care practices. AcutePet is a veterinarian-owned organization built by professionals who understand the realities of modern veterinary medicine. Our leadership includes experienced DVMs, Managing Veterinarians, and a board-certified criticalist serving as Chief Medical Officer. Operational leaders bring direct veterinary hospital experience to ensure teams are supported, not strained. We prioritize clinical standards without corporate rigidity, mentorship without micromanagement, sustainable scheduling, and a collaborative, inclusive environment.
