About The Position
Foothill Farms Veterinary Hospital is a trusted, community-focused practice in Sacramento with over 30 years of experience, blending gold-standard medicine with integrative care. As a fully Fear-Free practice, we offer conventional medicine alongside acupuncture, nutrition, Reiki, laser therapy, vibrational therapies, and advanced diagnostics. Our feng shui–inspired hospital is designed for healing, featuring separate cat and dog entrances, calming nature videos, and a resident therapy cat. We foster collaboration, continual learning, and transformation, honoring the human–animal bond with multi-generational clients and their companions. We are seeking a Veterinarian to join our team, offering opportunities for both full-time and part-time employment, with a focus on small animal general practice and urgent care, incorporating integrative and Fear-Free approaches.
Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree.
- Valid California veterinary license.
- Ability to obtain a DEA license.
- High-quality medicine and surgical skills.
- Excellent client communication and customer service skills.
- Dedication to continued education.
- All levels of experience are welcome.

Responsibilities
- Provide general practice veterinary care.
- Offer urgent care services with built-in urgent blocks.
- Perform soft tissue surgery, routine procedures, and assist with advanced cases with traveling surgeons.
- Conduct full-service dentistry with experienced support staff.
- Administer integrative therapies including acupuncture, laser, nutrition, and energy medicine.
- Collaborate with a team of 8 DVMs, consulting freely on cases and orchestrating plans for pets across various modalities.
- Support the care of pets with a team of skilled RVTs, assistants, and UC Davis Veterinary School students.
- Work with specialists for cardiology, orthopedics, radiology, ultrasound, etc.
