About The Position

West Lake Animal Hospital in Taylorsville, Utah, is a well-established, highly regarded small animal and exotic-focused practice located just 15 minutes outside of Salt Lake City. We are seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join our collaborative team, with the option to pursue a leadership path with training after spending time in the role. Requirements

• Experienced Veterinarian (DVM).
• Surgery and dentistry experience is required.
• Ability to work a 4-day workweek.
• Willingness to work rotating surgery days.
• Comfortable with a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with exotics (seeing exotics is optional).
• Interest in a future leadership path.

Responsibilities

• Perform veterinary services for small animals, exotics (optional), including canine, feline, pocket pets, reptiles/amphibians, and avian.
• Conduct routine appointments (15 minutes) and sick visits (30 minutes).
• Perform surgeries and dentistry, with surgery typically scheduled twice weekly.
• Utilize diagnostic and laboratory equipment, including digital radiography, digital dental radiography, Heska lab equipment, Element i+, microscope with Bluetooth-mounted camera, orthopedic equipment, and ultrasound.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced doctors and long-tenured support staff.
• Participate in a leadership track with provided training, if interested.
