About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA (North Hills) is seeking a Veterinarian Specialty Service Head to join our team in a large referral setting which includes 7 criticalists combined at our Pittsburgh locations. We have a house officer program consisting of rotating interns, emergency and critical care interns and residents, and surgical interns and residents, leading to a collaborative team offering high quality medicine and patient care. As a Specialty Service Head, you will provide leadership and direction on day-to-day matters impacting the specialty service while supporting the hospital Medical Director and Operational Leaders ensuring medical quality in respective service. Requirements

DVM/VMD degree required.
2 years’ experience as a board-certified specialist
Current license to practice veterinary medicine in this state.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction on day-to-day matters impacting the specialty service
Supporting the hospital Medical Director and Operational Leaders ensuring medical quality in respective service
