Responsibilities

• Provide basic and specialized cleaning services throughout the hospital, with a primary focus on hard and soft flooring surfaces, including stairwells, hallways, and public spaces.
• Operate heavy mechanical equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, polishers, extractors, and wet vacuuming equipment for floor maintenance.
• Work in Specialty Units to provide a safe care environment for patients, staff, and visitors by cleaning and disinfecting areas like surgical services/perioperative suites, cath labs, and endoscopy.
• Reduce harmful pathogens through cleaning, disinfecting, and quality assurance.
• Perform project work and specialty tasks, including conference room setup/dismantle, cleaning of stairwells and elevators, and hanging cubicle curtains.
• Clean and disinfect specialty units and equipment in areas such as Surgical Services, Labor Delivery, Critical Care, Endoscopy, MRI, Trauma, Cath Lab, NICU, Mental Health, and Burn Unit.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles, proper chemical use, equipment handling, and labor-saving products.
