About The Position
Winder Animal Hospital is seeking a confident, compassionate Medical Director to lead clinical operations, mentor staff, and help shape the future of patient care and client service. This is a hands-on practicing medicine role. Experienced veterinarian applicants are also welcome. The role involves providing high-quality medical and surgical care, leading and supporting the veterinary team, establishing and upholding medical standards, collaborating on hospital operations and growth, and serving as a clinical mentor.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree or equivalent from an accredited university
- Active Veterinary State License (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Current DEA License (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- USDA Accreditation (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical and surgical care to a loyal client base
- Lead and support the veterinary team with confidence and professionalism
- Establish and uphold medical standards and protocols
- Collaborate with management on hospital operations and growth
- Serve as a clinical mentor to support staff and promote a positive workplace culture
