About The Position

Eastern Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Center (EPVMC) is seeking a residency-trained or board-certified Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist to join their expanding Internal Medicine Department. This role is part of a collaborative specialty hospital focused on providing advanced veterinary care for pets with complex medical needs. The position is not a solo role, as the new internist will join an existing internist, allowing for shared case management, collaboration, and a more sustainable approach to scheduling and patient care. EPVMC offers advanced diagnostic capabilities, including Karl Storz endoscopy, GE Fortis ultrasound, MRI, CT, and fluoroscopy, along with a full in-house laboratory. The service benefits from a consistent referral and emergency caseload from a 24/7 Emergency Department and strong collaboration with other specialty services.

Requirements

  • Residency-trained or board-certified Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist.
  • Board-certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (DACVIM) or residency-trained candidate eligible for board certification.
  • Ability to attain state Veterinary License in Pennsylvania.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a two-internist team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based patient care.
  • Strong communication skills with clients, referring veterinarians, and colleagues.
