About The Position

We are a leading behavioral health treatment provider offering a full continuum of care, including medical detox, residential, and outpatient services. Our mission is to provide high-quality, compassionate care to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We are expanding our outreach efforts within the veteran and military communities and are seeking a Veteran Advocate to help build meaningful relationships and connect service members and veterans to life-saving treatment.

Requirements

  • Veteran status (U.S. Armed Forces)
  • Passion for supporting veterans and military families
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally
  • Existing relationships with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or military bases

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, or healthcare
  • Background in business development, outreach, or admissions
  • Understanding of VA referral processes

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with: U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs facilities and staff, Military bases, command units, and support personnel, Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs) and community partners
  • Conduct in-person and virtual outreach to promote services across all levels of care (Detox, Residential, PHP, IOP, OP)
  • Educate referral sources on program offerings, admissions process, and clinical capabilities
  • Identify and cultivate referral opportunities within veteran and military populations
  • Represent the organization at networking events, veteran-focused events, and community initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with Admissions and Clinical teams to ensure smooth referral coordination
  • Track outreach efforts, referral activity, and performance metrics
  • Maintain a strong understanding of veteran-specific challenges, including PTSD, substance use disorders, and reintegration issues
