About The Position
Aston Veterinary Hospital has provided trusted veterinary care to pets and families throughout the community. Our busy multi-doctor hospital cares for dogs and cats, while offering advanced medical services in a welcoming and team-oriented environment. We are currently seeking an Experienced Veterinary Technician who enjoys hands-on patient care, collaboration, and building strong relationships with both clients and coworkers.
Requirements
- 1+ years of veterinary technician experience preferred
- Skilled in: venipuncture and IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, patient restraint and treatments, diagnostic imaging and EKGs
- Strong communication and client education skills
- Positive attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Flexible schedule availability including rotating Saturdays
Nice To Haves
- Certified Veterinary Technician preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with appointments, procedures, diagnostics, and surgery
- Monitor anesthesia and support patient recovery
- Collect laboratory samples and administer medications
- Perform radiographs and assist with diagnostics
- Educate pet owners regarding treatments, discharge care, and preventive medicine
- Maintain accurate medical records and support efficient workflow
- Work collaboratively with the entire hospital team to deliver high-quality patient care
