About The Position

Requirements

  • Previous experience or formal training as a veterinary assistant or in animal care.
  • Basic knowledge of animal handling and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
  • Prepare and restrain animals safely and humanely for various medical procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and behavior of animals under care.
  • Provide compassionate care and comfort to animals, including feeding, exercising, and grooming as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding basic care instructions and appointment scheduling.
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure proper storage and handling.
  • Support administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records and processing payments.
