About The Position
Onslow Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join their support team. This role will contribute to a growing patient demand across three sister locations, help strengthen the team culture, and provide high-quality care. The hospital is investing in improvements and new DVMs, aiming to build a collaborative and motivated team.
Requirements
- Experienced Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician
- Strong technical skills in patient restraint, blood draws, IV catheter placement, vaccine protocols
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring and client communication
- Dependable and adaptable team player
- Strong communicator, capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-doctor environment
- Comfortable with rotating Saturday availability
- Committed to excellent attendance

Responsibilities
- Assist in patient care, surgical procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostics
- Support DVMs during appointments, exams, treatments, and procedures
- Perform hands-on tasks including restraining, catheter placement, and injections
- Communicate clearly with clients on treatment plans, patient updates, and protocols
- Ensure medical records are complete and accurate
- Collaborate with other team members to promote hospital efficiency and workflow
- Participate in continuing education and contribute ideas to hospital improvement efforts
