About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join its network engineering team. The role designs, implements, and maintains Versa Networks SD-WAN solutions to provide secure, reliable, and optimized network connectivity across a distributed enterprise environment. The position is hybrid and lists Fort Meade, Maryland, as its location, with additional locations in Columbus, Ohio; Hill AFB, Utah; Honolulu, Hawaii; Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; Pensacola, Florida; San Antonio, Texas; Scott AFB, Illinois; and Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. The position requires a high school diploma or GED. Compensation is projected at $77,600 to $176,000 annualized USD, with the actual salary determined by factors including location, education, skills, experience, and organizational requirements. Requirements

Experience with WAN optimization, application performance monitoring, and network security.
Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPNs, QoS, and firewall policies.
Knowledge of cloud networking, hybrid cloud architectures, and integration with public cloud providers.
Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis.
Secret clearance is required.
High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Versa Networks SD-WAN platforms in enterprise or large-scale environments.
Experience with automation tools and scripting for network configuration, such as Python and Ansible.
Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and Nagios.
Knowledge of other SD-WAN platforms.
Knowledge of ITIL and change management processes.
