About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join its network engineering team. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Versa Networks SD-WAN solutions to provide secure, reliable, and optimized network connectivity across a distributed enterprise environment. The position is hybrid and is associated with Fort Meade, Maryland, with additional listed locations in Columbus, Ohio; Ford Island, Hawaii; Hill AFB, Utah; Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; Pensacola, Florida; San Antonio, Texas; Scott AFB, Illinois; and Tinker AFB, Oklahoma.

Requirements

• Experience with WAN optimization, application performance monitoring, and network security.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP, IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPNs, QoS, and firewall policies.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, hybrid cloud architectures, and integration with public cloud providers.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Secret clearance is required; applicants are subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Versa Networks SD-WAN platforms in enterprise or large-scale environments.
• Experience with network configuration automation tools and scripting, such as Python and Ansible.
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and Nagios.
• Knowledge of other SD-WAN platforms.
• Knowledge of ITIL and change management processes.
