This role involves working directly with the Food and Beverage Manager to create, develop, and implement effective strategies for assigned venues. The position is responsible for formulating, administering, and enforcing departmental policies and performance standards, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state laws governing food and beverage. A key aspect of this role is coordinating all property-related activities concerning recruitment, interviewing, testing, selection, orientation, transfers, promotions, and terminations within assigned areas. The Assistant Manager directly supervises venue supervisors and indirectly supervises all venue team members, understanding the job duties and standards of each position reporting to the Beverage Manager. This role also involves developing, evaluating, and coordinating training, monitoring guest alcohol consumption, and reviewing recommendations for hiring, discipline, and other personnel actions. The position requires maintaining professional grooming and appearance, acting as a role model, and participating in special projects as requested. A primary objective is to ensure and maintain the maximum level of service and satisfaction throughout the property, setting priorities for shift supervisors and providing guidance. The Assistant Manager is held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports, and must create and utilize a comprehensive employee engagement strategy. All other duties as assigned will also be part of this role.
