About The Position

The Loan Verifications Specialist plays a critical role in the consumer lending process by reviewing and validating customer information, resolving application requirements and supporting loan funding activities. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and enjoys investigating information, solving problems and ensuring accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of customer service experience
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Customer-focused with an investigative mindset and sound judgment
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
• Technical aptitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience in financial services, consumer lending, loan processing, verification, underwriting support, fraud review, or related fields.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with performance and service-level goals.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify customer information, documentation, and loan stipulations for accuracy and compliance.
• Investigate and resolve missing information by working with customers, branch teams, underwriting, and third-party partners.
• Validate identity, employment, income, and other information used in loan decisions.
• Review loan documentation and support funding activities to ensure timely and accurate loan disbursement.
• Identify potential fraud indicators, discrepancies, or complex situations and escalate as appropriate.
• Deliver exceptional service while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the customer experience.
