About The Position

Join Greenbrook Mental Wellness Centers as an Verification of Benefits Specialist in Delray, Florida! We are seeking a dedicated individual to play a vital role in ensuring our patients can access mental health services through their health insurance benefits. This role is responsible for identifying and reporting patient eligibility, helping to remove financial barriers to care. This is a full-time position located at our corporate offices in Delray, Florida. Work hours will vary between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. EST.

Requirements

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare insurance is required.
A strong understanding of medical billing and coding practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and electronic health record (EHR) systems is required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Review and verify insurance coverage and mental health benefits, including in-network providers, coverage details, and pre-authorization requirements.
Collaborate with insurance companies to secure coverage quotes for patients' treatment plans.
Conduct thorough insurance research to identify the most cost-effective options for patients and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient insurance records in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
Clearly and concisely document insurance payer plans, including patient coverage, cost share, access, and provider options.
Identify and report trends or delays with reimbursements and collaborate with management and clinical teams to find solutions to potential insurance barriers.
