Verification & Automation Engineer
About The Position
As a Verification & Automation Engineer, a typical day might include the following: Maintain advanced technical knowledge and skills to contribute to the development and enhancement of integration and automation features in SEL mission critical communication products. Define, develop and analyze product specifications, functional tests, and system validation and verification processes. Set up real communication networks to instrument with 3rd party testing equipment to verify correct operation with automation strategies. Develop scripts to debug and optimize R&D product development phases. Diagnose customer reported problems with integration and communication features and document issues for developers. Provide technical and market analysis to evaluate proposed products or enhancements.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience with multiple communication protocols.
- 2+ years of experience in set up and configuration of a broad range of network devices and interfaces with Python and REST API.
- 2+ years of experience in a verification or compliance role within new product introduction team.
- Previously collaboration with R&D engineers.

- 2+ years of experience contributing to product development teams
- Working knowledge of SEL products and protocols
- Working knowledge of Electric utility telecommunications
