About The Position

The Vendor Relationship Management Analyst supports RGA's growing vendor management function through its procurement department. This is a new role designed to help build out the vendor management process for key suppliers and vendors. RGA has invested in new processes, policies, and systems to manage vendors, and this role will assist in deploying a robust relationship management process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in either Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management or relevant work experience required.
  • 2+ Years of work experience preferably in procurement, vendor management, or sourcing discipline required.
  • Well organized and can organize around deadlines or competing priorities required.
  • Highly motivated with a pro-active work approach and ability to effectively prioritize and make things happen. ‘Can do’ attitude. required.
  • Ability to work harmoniously within the team environment and be able to communicate with a wide range of audiences outside of procurement and finance. required.
  • Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, balancing priorities, and deliverables. required.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and presentation skills required.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical capabilities required.
  • Excellent attention to detail required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM or APICS) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and select new vendors, and manage the onboarding process for new and existing vendors.
  • Manage vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, including tracking key contract terms (SLAs), renewals, and amendments.
  • Monitor vendor performance against agreed-upon key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with vendors, such as financial instability, security breaches, or supply chain disruptions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, acting as a point of contact for communication and issue resolution.
  • Prepare reports on vendor performance, costs, and other relevant data, providing insights to management.
