Medica's Vendor Relations role oversees the performance and success of outsourced vendor partnerships through proactive monitoring, analysis, relationship management, and operational coordination. This position serves as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and vendor partners, drives accountability for performance expectations and contractual commitments, and supports issue resolution, operational changes, and continuous improvement initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Three years of work experience beyond the degree or equivalent experience

  • Operational leadership or customer service leadership experience
  • Project management, change management, or cross-functional implementation experience
  • Healthcare industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and report vendor performance against established key performance indicators, service-level agreements, contracted terms, and operational goals. Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights, and communicate outcomes to internal stakeholders
  • Partner with vendors to identify performance gaps, oversee root-cause analysis, and develop and monitor corrective action plans and performance-improvement initiatives. Hold vendor partners accountable for agreed-upon expectations and commitments
  • Serve as a primary liaison between internal business leaders and vendor partners. Lead performance and outcome review meetings, align stakeholders on priorities, and establish clear ownership, expectations, and accountability
  • Coordinate across internal teams and vendor partners to support operational changes, new initiatives, and project implementation. Assess vendor readiness for process, system, and policy changes and oversee execution
  • Act as an escalation point for vendor-related issues and facilitate timely resolution. Support oversight activities such as access requests, invoice review and validation, audits, and compliance with contractual and operational requirements
  • Build and maintain productive vendor relationships while monitoring compliance with organizational guidelines, policies, and procedures
