About The Position

As a Vendor Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for our vendor partners, ensuring deliveries are accurate, inventory is accounted for, and our receiving area stays organized and efficient. This role is vital in ensuring the store receives the products our customers count on every day.   • Early morning availability is required, with shifts beginning as early as 5:00 AM.

  • Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.
  • Process-driven with ability to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way.

  • Desire to work with customers on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify vendor deliveries for grocery, beverage, bread, dairy, frozen, floral, and other direct store delivery products.
  • Accurately reconcile invoices, deliveries, credits, and returns.
  • Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies with vendors and store leadership.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper receiving and documentation.
  • Keep the receiving dock and backroom organized, clean, and safe.
  • Build positive relationships with our vendor partners while providing outstanding customer service.
  • Support shrink reduction through accurate receiving practices.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
  • Assist with additional backroom and receiving responsibilities as business needs require.
