About The Position

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for overseeing the receipt and inspection of incoming shipments to ensure accuracy, quality and proper documentation. This role involves coordinating with vendors, handling supply and maintaining accurate records to support inventory management and overall operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • One (1) year of experience in a warehouse or inventory management role.
  • Experience using inventory management software and basic computer applications.
  • Able to operate forklifts (up to 25,000 lbs), pallet jacks, and utilize common carpentry tools.
  • Must possess good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of aviation parts and tooling

Responsibilities

  • Unload incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of orders against purchase orders or shipping manifests.
  • Assist in directing and unloading freight vehicles.
  • Notify appropriate personnel when couriers arrive with incoming shipments for pre-draw, discrepant parts, drop shipped items and shipment shortages.
  • Assist Purchasing and Inspection personnel with clearing items from QC Bond.
  • Notify applicable maintenance leader of any items placed in QC Bond immediately as required for their projects.
  • Notify Purchasing of any errors made during the receiving process that cannot be corrected by the receiver.
  • Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve any issues related to shipments or orders.
  • Assist Customer with shipping items they deem discrepant.
  • Record and file all relevant paperwork, including shipping documents, invoices, and delivery receipts.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of goods to prevent damage and maintain quality.
  • Assist in inventory counts and audits as required, ensuring accuracy in stock levels.
  • Update inventory records and manage any discrepancies in inventory counts.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely processing and distribution of goods.
  • Provide excellent service to internal teams and external vendors by addressing queries and providing updates on shipments.
  • Be familiar with the different forms of certifications required for parts and materials supplied by AAR vendors and Customer vendors including the different forms of customer tags.
  • Basic understanding of the proper labeling of the different types of parts and materials received on facility including customer items.
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure parts and materials are stored in correct and adequate locations.
  • Load customer item numbers into computer system when receiving new customer supplied parts not already identified.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations during the receiving process.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including proper handling and storage practices.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Receiving Lead and/or Store Supervisor.
