This position is considered safety sensitive and is subjective to drug testing, including cannabis. The VMI Specialist manages inventory at a customer site or multiple sites via a prescribed route.

Requirements

  • Computer software skills – Windows, Office.
  • Computer Hardware knowledge – I/O devices such as Printers, handheld scanners, Monitors, and related hardware.
  • Knowledge of Vendor Managed Inventory
  • Mechanical Aptitude – Ability to use hand tools and work through break/fix scenarios independently.
  • Ability to travel 90% of the time to customer locations.

Nice To Haves

  • InxSql experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of IP networks is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Personally, exhibits Core Behaviors
  • Responsible for promoting a culture of safety.
  • Visit Customer site(s)
  • Assesses stocking levels to maintain min/max inventory levels at Customer site(s)
  • Communicate with Customer Service Representative(s) for inventory replenishment.
  • Delivers and stocks inventory at Customer site(s) to bring levels to min/max levels.
  • Customer meetings and relationship management
  • Assist branches in managing product inventory levels, including replenishment and stock transfers.
  • Assist in providing sales support.
  • Continually communicate with employees and customers to improve inventory turns.
  • Respond to commonly occurring problems/situations for which standards, procedures, or precedents exist.
  • Perform hands-on tasks, primarily using trade or computer hardware, software, database, and data processing.
  • Perform all work in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
