About The Position

Giant Tiger is seeking a Vendor Compliance Coordinator to join their store support team. This role is crucial in ensuring vendor performance and compliance, directly impacting stores across the country. The ideal candidate is passionate about retail and motivated by meaningful work that makes a real impact. This is a fully onsite role at the Johnstown, Ontario Distribution Centre, with a shift from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Requirements

  • Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3 years experience working in Supply Chain Freight / Logistics
  • Strong decision making, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Ability work cross functionally
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Customer service skills and focus
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work on tight timeframes
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, and intrinsically motivated to complete tasks and recommend improvements beyond assigned tasks that contribute to the broader objectives and overall strategic goals with minimal direction
  • Positive, professional and responsible attitude
  • Team oriented
  • Sound understanding of Supply Chain Operational Data Analysis - Able to run ad-hoc analysis
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, and Access
  • Beginner/Intermediate experience with SQL

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily vendor compliance activities and reporting specifics regarding vendor performance.
  • Proactively engage vendors who are lacking in specific performance areas and provide best practices and get-well strategies as well as track for improvement.
  • Work cross-functionally with many different business partners to develop requirements, implement changes and execute change management.
  • Complete projects to optimize the compliance program accurately within the defined timeframe, ability to self-start with appropriate direction from Manager.
  • Research/address escalated items completely & timely. Resolution may require detailed research, analysis &/or collaboration w/various internal teams.
  • Escalate defect fix or enhancement needs as they are identified.
