VENDING ATTENDANT (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Vending Attendant provides vending products and services at a single location in San Francisco. The position receives deliveries, stocks vending machines and coolers, collects money, records transactions, and remains accountable for cash and product. The attendant also serves existing customers, prepares orders, communicates about products and services, resolves complaints, maintains and sanitizes machines and vending areas, and supports sales promotions. The fixed pay rate is $25.00 per hour. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The position is based at 1455 Third Street, San Francisco, CA 94158. Previous food/beverage service and vending experience is required.

- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Receive deliveries of soft drinks, bakery products, specialty foods, snack items, and sundries at the customer's place of business.
- Stock shelves or racks in vending machines and coolers.
- Collect stale, rejected, or unsold merchandise.
- Collect money from machines and refill bill and coin changers.
- Record transactions on the appropriate card or electronic device.
- Remain accountable for cash and product.
- Contact existing customers to determine whether service is adequate.
- Prepare order forms for food and pastry products.
- Inform regular customers of new products or services.
- Listen to and resolve service complaints.
- Perform routine maintenance on and sanitation of machines.
- Maintain a clean storeroom and vending area.
- Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
