About The Position

The Vehicle Upgrade Specialist plays a key role in enhancing the customer experience by identifying service customers who may benefit from upgrading their current vehicle. Working within the service department, this position serves as a concierge-style liaison between service customers and the sales team. The goal is to proactively engage customers, educate them on current upgrade opportunities, and seamlessly connect interested individuals to the appropriate sales representative—contributing to customer satisfaction, loyalty, and dealership growth.

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, automotive, or sales is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Friendly, professional demeanor with a customer-first attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Ability and willingness to work evenings and Saturdays
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and CRM tools is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Bi-lingual ideal (Spanish)

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers in the service drive with a warm, professional approach.
• Identify potential upgrade opportunities based on customer history, vehicle condition, and current dealership promotions.
• Present upgrade options and value propositions (e.g., lower payments, newer technology, warranty benefits).
• Coordinate introductions between interested customers and the sales team.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current inventory, promotions, incentives, and trade-in programs.
• Log and track customer interactions, leads, and follow-ups using the dealership’s CRM system.
• Support sales and service teams with cross-department communication and collaboration.
• Meet or exceed monthly performance goals related to referrals, appointments set, and vehicle upgrades.
• Assist in hosting dealership events or service-based promotional activities when needed.
