About The Position

Applus+ IDIADA is seeking Driver Operators to perform vehicle testing and data acquisition activities in line with customer specifications. The role involves driving vehicles across pre-defined routes and varied terrain and weather conditions throughout North America, operating data acquisition systems, and documenting observations clearly and accurately. Drivers are expected to follow project manager instructions, comply with traffic and workplace safety requirements, and maintain confidential documentation. The position requires outdoor work, a flexible schedule, extended hours and weekend availability, and the ability to drive passenger vehicles for up to eight hours a day.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 7–10 years of licensed driving experience.
• Current, unexpired driver’s license.
• Clean driving record for a minimum of three years.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, extended hours, and weekends.
• Ability to meet workplace health and safety requirements and practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to drive passenger vehicles for up to eight hours a day.
• Physically able to support test preparation and execution in an outdoor environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with ADAS features is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle driving services according to customer specifications.
• Drive and operate vehicles along pre-defined routes across varied terrain and weather conditions.
• Inspect vehicles before and after shifts as part of test preparation and completion.
• Operate data acquisition systems to ensure accurate data retrieval.
• Drive safely and follow traffic regulations.
• Follow instructions provided by the project manager.
• Complete reporting activities daily and when required by the program manager.
• Maintain all documentation confidentially.
• Support data acquisition and use appropriate tagging techniques to document objects, obstacles, and anomalies.
• Support test preparation and execution in an outdoor environment.
