About The Position

We are looking to hire an experienced Vehicle Technician to support fleet readiness, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair operations. This role is ideal for an engineering-focused automotive technician with strong mechanical and diagnostic experience who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented workshop environment. You will help ensure fleet vehicles are safe, operational, and ready for on-road testing and demonstrations.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of automotive technician or fleet maintenance experience
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair methods, tools, diagnostics, and vehicle systems
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background check, MVR check, and drug screening
  • Forklift and/or gantry operation experience required
  • Current forklift certification compliant with Cal/OSHA standards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated team player

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in automotive engineering labs, research environments, Dyno labs, or battery testing facilities
  • Knowledge of CAN bus systems, wiring diagrams, and soldering
  • Experience towing trailers or transporting fleet vehicles
  • Technical trade school certification or Associate Degree in Automotive Technology
  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally nationally

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and fleet reworks
  • Configure, test, and sign off vehicles for safe on-road operation
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and scheduled service inspections
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and vehicle system issues
  • Escalate complex technical issues to engineering teams when needed
  • Coordinate repairs from diagnosis through resolution
  • Develop and execute diagnostic test plans
  • Maintain detailed service documentation and quality reports
  • Support fleet readiness for testing and demonstrations
  • Organize shop tools, equipment, and workspaces
  • Assist with inventory management, parts organization, and logistics
  • Travel locally as needed to support fleet operations
