About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking a Vehicle Systems Engineer to provide engineering expertise in electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems across a wide range of applications and environments. The role supports the design and development of forklifts and material handling equipment by developing and evaluating electromechanical systems, including software controls, specifications, and performance analyses. The engineer plans system development, proposes system definitions and specifications, and works with product engineering teams to refine requirements. The role develops system concepts into functional prototypes, models vehicle functions, generates functional software, evaluates system performance and design integrity, participates in risk assessments and FMEAs, and plans and reviews testing. The engineer documents designs, development processes, evaluation results, and project progress for review and decision-making. The position also advances tools that automate development workflows and improve system-data analysis. It provides support to other functional groups, including purchasing, legal, service, manufacturing, and product engineering, when needed. Occasional travel with overnight stays may be required, as well as local travel between company locations during the scheduled workday. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided.
