About The Position

The Module Vehicle System Synthesis Manager (VSS) is responsible for providing a single point of contact for all VEHE activities on assigned projects. This role owns the end-to-end functional and physical integration of vehicle modules, leading design, convergence, and validation activities across all in-scope vehicle programs. The VSS acts as the technical integrator between product requirements, system teams, styling, safety, regulation, and manufacturing. Key responsibilities include defining, maintaining, and controlling the module technical scope and feature content, coordinating cross-functional engineering teams to meet QCDP targets, and ensuring timely delivery of design, integration, and validation milestones. The role also involves overseeing digital and physical validation plans, ensuring regulatory, safety, diagnostics, and compliance conformity, leading technical trade-offs and escalations, and reporting project status, risks, and KPIs to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong background in vehicle systems engineering and system architecture
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
  • Solid knowledge of vehicle validation, V&V, and test execution
  • Deep understanding of regulatory, safety, NCAP, diagnostics, and compliance topics
  • Experience managing design convergence between styling, feasibility, and customer needs
  • Ability to perform technical arbitration and trade-off decision making
  • Strong program execution, prioritization, and milestone management skills
  • Experience with resource and budget planning in engineering projects
  • Comfortable working in a global, multi-site development environment
  • Clear, concise executive-level communication and reporting skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee digital and physical validation plans and execution across tech centers
  • Ensure regulatory, safety, diagnostics, and compliance conformity
  • Lead technical trade-offs, arbitration, and escalations with CME/CVE
  • Report project status, risks, and KPIs to leadership
