About The Position

Road & Rail Services is hiring a full-time Vehicle Shuttle Driver in Elwood, Illinois. The position involves moving new cars, trucks, and SUVs throughout an automotive processing facility, ensuring vehicles are safely transported, inspected, and parked in designated locations before shipment. No CDL or previous automotive experience is required. The role is active and outdoors, with work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, frequently enter and exit vehicles, bend, reach, and perform routine physical movements.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions and remain alert around moving vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive new vehicles between designated areas within the facility.
• Safely park vehicles in assigned staging and storage locations.
• Inspect vehicles for visible damage before moving them.
• Report damage, safety concerns, or vehicle issues to management.
• Follow facility traffic rules, speed limits, and safety procedures.
• Assist with vehicle inventory tracking and organization.
• Support vehicle preparation and tag-and-rinse operations when needed.
• Work with team members to meet daily production goals.
