About The Position

As a Vehicle Sales Management Trainee at Ryder, you will be part of a dynamic team, equipped to succeed and empowered to develop your transportation & logistics career. This position is designed to provide incumbents general Vehicle Sales training, with specific training in Rental, Finance, Operations, HR, and Sales & Marketing. The program is fast-paced and touches every aspect of the business unit. Ryder has been recognized by Newsweek, Forbes, Fortune Magazine, Women in Trucking, General Motors, Food Logistics, Inbound Logistics, and has the largest EV footprint in the U.S. Ryder has also received a Supplier Environmental Excellence Award from Verizon. Individuals need to be willing to relocate within their geographic territory at the end of the program.

Requirements

• H.S. diploma/GED required
• Two (2) years or more experienced in customer service with issues resolution required
• 2-5 years experienced in customer service with issues resolution required
• Travel 0-10%

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Two (2) years or more Sales experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Call on prospective customers and assigned accounts within a specific territory while using constant aggressive telephone marketing skills
• Maintain contacts with existing customers to improve retention, keeps current on market and customer trends.
• Develop and implement strategies necessary to improve sales performance
• Responsible for operational and administrative tasks in support of location and regional management
• Support the Vehicle Sales Managers in achievement of all location sales quotas, goals and objectives
• Performs other duties as assigned.
