About The Position

This role is responsible for accurately inputting vehicle information into the AS400 computer system using a handheld computer or headset. The specialist will affix identification stickers, place work order numbers, flag specific vehicle conditions, direct transporters, report damage, take digital images, and provide windshield codes. A strong commitment to safety and cooperation with safety leadership is essential. The position may also involve assisting with driving vehicles during auction sales.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Generally, less than 2 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test (marijuana testing may not be administered pre-employment, but is prohibited during work hours/on company property/in company vehicles).
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Input accurate vehicle information (VIN, stock number, dealer ID, make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc.) into the AS400 computer using a handheld computer or headset.
  • Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
  • Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
  • Flag “no key” cars.
  • Direct transporters to proper car drop zones.
  • Report transport damage as needed.
  • Take digital image of vehicle upon receipt.
  • Provide proper sale identification windshield code to the person driving the vehicle through the registration/check-in area.
  • Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors.
  • Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, such as assisting on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes.
