About The Position

This position is responsible for providing timely, efficient, and reliable service in vehicle and equipment repairs and maintenance. The role involves conducting major and minor repairs on all vehicles and equipment, including hydraulics, welding, fabrication, and brakes. Additionally, the mechanic will install and maintain two-way radio equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with fueling and washing vehicles. The position also requires assisting stranded vehicles and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

• Ability to conduct major and minor repairs on all vehicles and equipment, including hydraulics, welding, fabrication, and brakes.
• Ability to install and remove two-way radio equipment.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance on all vehicles and equipment.
• Ability to maintain a neat, clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Ability to assist with fueling and washing vehicles.
• Ability to assist stranded vehicles requiring on-the-spot maintenance or towing.

Responsibilities

• Conducts all major and minor repairs on all vehicles and equipment, including hydraulics, welding, fabrication, brakes, etc.
• Installs and removes two-way radio equipment and assists in maintaining the same.
• Performs preventive maintenance on all vehicles and equipment.
• Maintains garage and related work area in a neat, clean, safe, and orderly condition free of recognized hazards.
• Assists in pumping gasoline and fuel records system, routine washing, or servicing vehicles as required.
• Assists stranded vehicles requiring on-the-spot maintenance or towing.
• Assists in scheduled washing and cleaning of vehicles and equipment as needed.
• Performs such other duties as may be required.
