Copper Mountain Resort is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician Level 3 for a year-round full-time position. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance inspections (PMI), troubleshooting, failure analysis, and repairs on the resort's fleet, which includes trucks, vans, buses, and snowcats. The goal is to ensure maximum safe vehicle availability for the resort. The technician will work with hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, as well as light truck and van computer systems. Effective communication is required to train co-workers, and the technician will be responsible for accurate record-keeping of daily activities. Continuous learning through manuals, trade publications, and training programs is expected to stay updated on new maintenance technologies. Maintaining a clean and safe work area is also a key responsibility. This position may involve management of specific areas such as tires, paint and body, welding, fuel inventory, hazardous materials, shop equipment, or hydraulics. The technician may also assist in training personnel on equipment operation and safety procedures, and perform minor welding/fabrication projects. Occasional contact with operating department employees and outside vendors is expected. The role functions as an ambassador for Copper Mountain, modeling the company culture and striving to exceed guest expectations. Periodically, the technician may be required to provide leadership for junior staff in the absence of a Foreman or Manager.
