About The Position

This role is responsible for organizing and maintaining vehicle placement within assigned zones, utilizing operational dashboards and management direction to prioritize vehicle movement and staging activities. The specialist ensures the safe and efficient movement of vehicles throughout the lot, scans and stages vehicles using handheld devices for inventory accuracy, and locates and recovers misplaced or lost vehicles. They communicate operational priorities, support daily lot activities, and assist with sale day operations and lane support. The role involves inputting accurate vehicle information into systems, affixing stock number and barcode stickers, inspecting and reporting transportation damage, and removing personal information and customer belongings from vehicles. Additionally, the specialist performs basic FIT tunnel maintenance, maintains a clean work area, assists customers, and follows all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to use handheld technology.
• Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain vehicle placement within assigned zones.
• Utilize operational dashboards and management direction to prioritize vehicle movement and staging activities.
• Ensure safe and efficient movement of vehicles throughout the lot.
• Scan and stage vehicles using handheld devices to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Locate and recover misplaced or lost vehicles.
• Communicate operational priorities and support daily lot activities.
• Assist with sale day operations and lane support activities.
• Input accurate vehicle information into AS/400 and handheld systems.
• Affix stock number and barcode stickers to vehicles upon arrival.
• Inspect and report transportation damage.
• Remove personal information and customer belongings from vehicles.
• Clear navigation systems, saved destinations, Bluetooth pairings, call histories, and connected device information.
• Perform basic FIT tunnel maintenance and report equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist customers in locating vehicles and resolving routine questions.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
