About The Position

Joe Myers Toyota is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Vehicle Inventory Specialist to support the dealership's vehicle title, registration, inventory, and vehicle sales processing functions. This position is responsible for ensuring that vehicle paperwork is accurate, completed timely, and submitted in compliance with applicable requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and the ability to work effectively with the F&I, Sales, Accounting, and Inventory departments.

Requirements

Previous automotive dealership, title clerk, accounting, inventory, or administrative experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to handle confidential and financial information professionally.
Strong computer skills and ability to learn dealership software and manufacturer systems.
Ability to work independently while also working effectively with multiple departments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

Prepare tax, title, registration, and other vehicle transfer documents.
Submit required legal transfer and registration documents to the DMV.
Prepare stock cards for new and used vehicles.
Receive, review, and process vehicle paperwork from the F&I Department.
Prepare payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.
Post vehicle sales and purchases accurately into the dealership's accounting/inventory system.
Enter and maintain vehicle inventory control information.
Report new vehicle sales to the manufacturer in a timely and accurate manner.
Order new vehicles through the manufacturer's computer system.
Prepare and maintain trade-in vehicle jackets and related documentation.
Review vehicle files to ensure all required documents are complete and properly maintained.
Ensure customer names, addresses, and other pertinent information are accurate and updated on an ongoing basis.
Maintain organized records and files for new and used vehicle transactions.
Communicate with internal departments regarding missing, incomplete, or incorrect paperwork.
Follow dealership policies and procedures regarding vehicle documentation, inventory, and title processing.
Perform other administrative and accounting-related duties as assigned.
