About The Position

America's Auto Auction is a growing automotive auction company seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Vehicle Inspector/Condition Report Writer. This role involves writing detailed condition reports based on vehicle inspection data and photos, identifying damage and discrepancies, and ensuring reports meet quality standards. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and prior experience in related inspection or appraisal roles is preferred.

Requirements

Strong written communication skills, including grammar, clarity, and attention to detail.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Able to accurately interpret inspection data, photographs, and vehicle condition checklists.
Comfortable working with reporting software, digital platforms, and inspection systems.
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and accuracy.
Able to work outdoors the majority of the time in all weather conditions.
Able to pass pre-employment screening.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a rental car damage inspector, insurance appraiser/adjuster, collision/body shop estimator, auction vehicle inspector, dealership vehicle appraiser, or related inspection/appraiser experience is preferred.
Prior vehicle inspection or appraising experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Review vehicle inspection data and photos to write detailed condition reports.
Identify damage, wear, or discrepancies using guidelines and industry standards provided.
Ensure reports meet internal quality control standards and client requirements.
Work with field staff and inspection teams to clarify findings when needed.
Submit timely, polished reports that support vehicle sales, leasing, or valuation processes.
Complete 20 to 30 condition reports daily
Perform other duties as necessary.
