About The Position
Bannister Kia Penticton is looking for a motivated Vehicle Inspection Technician to join our growing service department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with vehicles, has strong mechanical aptitude, and wants to build a career in the automotive industry. This role is designed to support our licensed technicians by ensuring every vehicle entering the shop receives a thorough inspection. By identifying maintenance needs and safety concerns early, you'll play a key role in improving workshop productivity while helping customers understand the condition of their vehicle.
Requirements

- Comfortable using smartphones or tablets to record inspection videos.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

- Previous automotive experience is an asset but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle safety and maintenance inspections.
- Complete alignment checks on every vehicle entering the shop.
- Identify safety concerns, maintenance requirements, and recommended repairs.
- Record professional walk-around inspection videos explaining your findings.
- Present inspection results clearly and professionally to customers through our digital inspection platform.
- Work closely with technicians and service advisors to ensure inspections are completed efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inspection documentation and reports.
- Help improve workflow by allowing licensed technicians to focus on repairs.
