About The Position

Naturescape of Burnsville, MN, is seeking to hire a Vehicle Fleet & Small Engine Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of vehicles and a wide assortment of small-engine equipment. This role involves ensuring the uptime of a high-volume fleet across 41 locations, handling a dynamic mix of small engines (commercial mowers, blowers) and automotive vehicles (vans, pickup trucks). Responsibilities include routine maintenance, engine diagnostics, brake repairs, and annual safety inspections. The position utilizes a tablet with custom-built asset management software for inventory tracking, repair logging, and managing service requests. The work environment is a fast-paced shop equipped with necessary tools and lifts, requiring mechanics to provide their own primary toolbox. Collaboration with a team of mechanics and a Fleet Manager is expected, with an emphasis on "learning by doing" and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Basic understanding of automotive and small engine mechanics (brakes, engines, and diagnostics).
Provide your own standard set of tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Motivated with a desire to learn.
