The Mechanic assists the Senior Mechanic in diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on all company fleet vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications. This position uses knowledge of garage tools and testing equipment to help analyze and resolve fleet maintenance issues, diagnose and repair minor electrical system problems using wiring schematics and electrical test equipment, and maintain accurate maintenance and repair records. The Mechanic identifies and obtains replacement parts needed for repairs, assists with maintaining inventory and shop equipment, safely operates related machinery and tools, and promotes safe and environmentally responsible workplace practices. Mechanics are required to be on call every other weekend and work overtime for special events.
