About The Position

We are seeking a Vehicle Controls Engineering Process Tools Engineer with strong C programming and Linux development experience to support automotive control systems and calibration data management tools. The ideal candidate will develop, enhance, test, and maintain in-house engineering tools while providing technical support to global users.

Requirements

  • Strong C Programming experience.
  • Linux/Unix application development.
  • GUI development using Motif.
  • Database development using SQL/PostgreSQL.
  • Data Structures & Algorithms.
  • Pointers, Bit Manipulation, Hash Tables, Recursion.
  • File Handling and System Calls.
  • Linux System Programming.
  • Makefiles and Build Systems.
  • GDB Debugging.
  • Vi/Vim.
  • Process Management (fork()).
  • Configuration Management.
  • Jira.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Strong experience in C programming within Linux/Unix environments.
  • Experience developing engineering or embedded software tools.
  • Hands-on debugging and troubleshooting using GDB.
  • Knowledge of SQL/PostgreSQL databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain automotive control system tools.
  • Implement software enhancements and bug fixes using C.
  • Follow change management processes and support software releases.
  • Provide global user support via phone, email, Webex, and messaging.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Develop training materials and user documentation.
  • Participate in user forums and collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Debug and troubleshoot software issues in Linux environments.
  • Interface applications with PostgreSQL databases.
