About The Position

This role involves accurately inputting vehicle information into the AS400 system using a handheld device. The specialist will be responsible for receiving vehicles at the Auction, ensuring all necessary information like VIN, stock number, dealer ID, make, model, year, mileage, and color is recorded. They will also affix stickers, place work order numbers, associate tracking devices, and direct transporters. A strong commitment to safety procedures and participation in safety activities is expected. Additional duties may include assisting with driving vehicles during auction sales days.

Requirements

  • Minimum: High School Diploma/GED
  • Generally less than 2 years’ experience in a related field
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test (marijuana pre-employment drug test is not administered for this position).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.

Responsibilities

  • Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 system using a handheld device (TC-75), including: Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Stock number, Dealer identification number, Make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc.
  • Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
  • Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
  • Associate and install OBDII tracking device.
  • Direct transporters to proper car drop zone.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
  • Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e. assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes, etc.
