Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared VDI Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA or Arnold, MO. Virtual Desktop Engineer to support the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment. This role will be the SME in troubleshooting all related performance issue across the organization. Additionally, the position will require an individual experienced in system design and integration, identity life-cycle management, and process automation and improvement. We are looking for an individual who has a proven track record designing and maintaining VDI in a large enterprise. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who exceeds as an individual, as well as excels among peers in a team environment. The individual should possess a passion for operational excellence and a high level of interpersonal and soft skills.

Requirements

• Experience providing engineering support for legacy and current versions of Citrix products.
• 5+ years of experience with BS degree or a combination of years of experience and education.
• Progressive roles from Administrator to Sr. Engineer.
• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v7.15 and later
• Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS)
• Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD)
• Citrix Netscaler / ADC / VPX
• Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM)
• Citrix App Layering
• Liquidware Profile Unity
• Hyper V, VMWare VDI (Microsoft or Citrix NetScalers / ADCs)
• Familiar with HP AnyConnect and Leostream
• Active/current TS/SCI level clearance
• US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

• Experience managing and administering Windows Server clustering
• Experience with Infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
• System Center Virtual Machine Manager/Vmware Vcenter 6.7
• Active Directory/ Group Policies
• Home Directory and Profile management Support Services
• Desktop Software provisioning and Support Services

Responsibilities

• Architecting and designing VDI solutions.
• Providing TIER 3/4 support to system administrators to resolve VDI issues.
• Providing guidance on optimization of desktops for platform interoperability.
• Acting as liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies.
• Offering endpoint support on issues and trouble resolution tasks on Virtual Desktop related tasks.
• Maintaining advanced knowledge relative to administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies.
• Operating across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Applying extensive technical expertise and having full knowledge of other related disciplines.
• Conducting trade studies and making recommendations on solutions and "make buy" decisions.
