About The Position

As a VDC Specialist at RK, you will turn complex drawings into precise 3D models, connect teams across trades, and resolve conflicts before construction begins. You will use technical expertise and problem-solving skills to shape how projects come together. This role partners across Preconstruction, Project Management, VDC/BIM, Field, and Manufacturing to improve materials and fabrication, optimize projects before spool drawings, and mentor staff. The position is listed for Aurora, Colorado, and as remote in the U.S.

Requirements

College or university degree preferred with five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
Proficiency in Revit.
Ability to work under indirect supervision.
Knowledge of project plans, scope, schedules, specifications, submittals, and budgets.
Ability to assess revised materials and systems.
Strong drafting and design knowledge.
Clear and concise communication skills.

Responsibilities

Guide the team in delivering quality, productivity, and safety.
Partner with Preconstruction, Project Management, VDC/BIM, Field, and Manufacturing to improve materials and fabrication, optimize projects before spool drawings, and mentor staff.
Meet schedule, quality, efficiency, budget, inventory, and reporting requirements.
Improve practices through teamwork and task, safety, and company training.
Check design intent and constructability before VDC/BIM kickoff.
Identify prefabrication, packaging, and delivery opportunities.
Review and correct VDC/BIM drawings and models for quality and contract compliance.
Check fabrication drawings before shop delivery.
Walk sites with Project Field Managers to capture best practices and material preferences.
Perform other duties as assigned.
