About The Position

The VDC Modeler creates and manages detailed 3D digital representations of electrical components using Revit, AutoCAD MEP, or Navisworks. The role uses 2D Bluebeam layouts provided by the team to create 3D modeled content. It performs clash detection and supports constructability by resolving conflicts before construction, ensuring models align with project goals and support prefabrication. The position is responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting the Everus 4EVER Strategy: Employees, Value, Execution, and Relationships. ESI Electrical Contractors works in the growth and development of cities and communities across Ohio.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and drafting courses required.
Valid driver’s license required.
General knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Positive attitude and ability to communicate orally with internal and external customers.
Good punctuation, spelling, and grammar skills.
No working experience required.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of technical training preferred.
Basic knowledge of and ability to use architectural drafting tools.

Responsibilities

Create 3D models, shop drawings, and spool drawings for electrical systems.
Use Navisworks or a similar program to identify and resolve conflicts between trades and other systems internally.
Translate design intent into actionable, constructible models and assist field teams with 3D views.
Generate detailed shop drawings, prefabrication sheets, and 2D installation drawings derived directly from the 3D model.
Maintain project documentation and update models with field as-built conditions.
Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts before construction to support constructability and prefabrication.
