About The Position

A nationally recognized ENR-ranked general contractor is seeking an experienced VDC Manager to join its growing Atlanta team. This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role on some of the most complex commercial construction projects in the Southeast, including mission-critical, sports, healthcare, aviation, government, and large-scale commercial developments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in BIM/VDC processes, MEP coordination, and field implementation while serving as the driving force behind virtual design and construction efforts from preconstruction through project completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12+ years of construction industry experience.
  • Strong background in commercial construction VDC/BIM leadership.
  • Experience managing coordination efforts across multiple trades and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale BIM coordination processes from project kickoff through closeout.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the BIM coordination process for assigned projects.
  • Develop and manage project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams throughout the virtual design process.
  • Facilitate clash detection, model coordination, and issue resolution.
  • Review and manage coordinated MEP drawings and submittals.
  • Support project teams with constructability reviews and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure coordinated models are successfully implemented in the field.
  • Provide QA/QC support throughout project execution.
  • Mentor and support VDC Engineers and other BIM team members.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining company VDC standards and training initiatives.
  • Partner closely with operations, project management, and field leadership teams.
