The Vault Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the route and dispatch function, ensuring the safety of employees, vehicles, and facilities, and the security of cargo and the terminal. This role involves developing and maintaining customer service capabilities, investigating accidents, and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders. The supervisor will also manage operational costs, control overtime, monitor employee schedules, and contribute to short and long-range operational planning to meet branch goals. Direct communication with employees to resolve issues and complaints is a key aspect, along with assuming limited responsibilities during the absence of the Operations/Branch Manager. The position directs operations to meet broad branch objectives, including vault operations, structure, scheduling, procedures, and policy enforcement. Profitability, operational costs, loss control, and damage/injury prevention through effective risk management and safety programs are critical. The role requires leadership by example, observable safety, security, and effectiveness of operating practices, and the ability to analyze complex factors to resolve situations not covered by set policies. Daily balancing of the vault for each shift and timely completion of monthly commitments are also required.
