About The Position

The Vault Cashier is responsible for vault operations, fund transfers, and essential financial functions during the overnight shift. This role requires maintaining precise tracking of all assigned casino funds, completing daily shift paperwork per company policy and state gaming regulations, and investigating all cash overages and shortages. The Vault Cashier must follow company policies, Title 31 rules, and federal/state/local regulations, while also providing interdepartmental support by processing pit fills, jackpots, and standard fills. Security control over assigned facility keys is paramount, as is maintaining ATM and Kiosk uptime by filling funds, loading paper, and fixing errors. The position also requires maintaining full knowledge of current casino promotions and redemption rules, processing various financial transactions (change, EZ Pay tickets, checks, credit cards, player check-cashing), and verifying all cage drawer funds at the end of every cashier shift. Collaboration with team players across departments and maintaining working knowledge of Soft Count, Hard Count, and Central Credit systems are essential. Additionally, the Vault Cashier must answer phones professionally, assist customers, clean and sanitize business countertops, and execute additional duties as directed by management.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Must qualify for, secure, and maintain a valid Gaming License / Registration with the state.
  • Ability to execute each core role responsibility at a satisfactory level.
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or technical school equivalent.
  • One year of directly related training or casino cage/vault work.
  • An equivalent combination of schooling and practical experience is accepted.
  • Ability to read and interpret industry journals, technical workflows, or regulatory mandates.
  • Ability to draft clear operational updates, basic reports, and standard emails.
  • Ability to deliver clear information and answers to managers, guests, and auditors.
  • Perform quick addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Calculate percentages, rates, ratios, and balances accurately.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic business charts or transaction logs.
  • Solve operational issues involving multiple shifting variables.
  • Follow guidelines delivered in written, verbal, checklist, or visual formats.
